Continuing to embed our EHS culture with focus events around the globe
Putting Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) principles at the centre of our daily work allows us to drive the sustainable development of our business while caring for our people.
In 2025, we advanced our ambition of embedding EHS in everything we do by strengthening our culture of care and responsibility with EHS Days and Weeks, a cornerstone of our overall approach.
First started in 2016 these themed events and campaigns educate and engage employees on safety behaviours, tool handling, and environmental protection. Site-specific initiatives create space for learning, dialogue and collective action across the globe, raising awareness, strengthening knowledge, and encouraging participation from all employees. The initiatives also create a forum for discussing the importance of good safety practices and teamwork.
Safety knowledge quizzes in China
Within Fragrance & Beauty China, various sites participated in the 2025 EHS engagement programme ‘Together, we build safety!’, which ran from June to August. Each site embraced the theme with a variety of activities aimed at enhancing visible safety leadership and fostering employee engagement.
Activities included safety knowledge quizzes, leadership Gemba walks (on-site visits to observe work and engage directly with employees), emergency drills, and hazard identifying activities. Here, employees, guided by their supervisors, conducted thorough pre-shift and post-shift safety checks in a hands-on approach that not only hones skills but also instills a proactive mindset.
Celebrating 2,000 days without lost time injuries in India
In Pune, India, the local team came together in March to celebrate their remarkable achievement of more than 2,000 days without any lost time injuries, a testament to their unwavering commitment to creating a safe and healthy workplace for everyone.
The celebration took place during their EHS Engagement Week, which was packed with exciting activities such as sessions on Laughter Yoga & Psychological Safety, a blood donation drive; fire fighting and first aid training and others that helped the team learn more about safety in a fun way.

Alcohol-free beer and e-bikes in Spain
In Sant Celoni, Spain, the team organised EHS Days with activities related to environment, health, safety and sustainability. The main activity was a Human and Organizational Performance (HOP) Insight, which introduced the theme to front line factory employees who will receive extensive training in 2026.
Additional activities, drawing a total of 166 people, included health-related activities such as cardiovascular risk assessment, Qi-gong for corrective back posture, menopause information, and a taste of alcohol-free beers to promote healthy habits.
Participants were also able to demonstrate their abilities with a forklift, learn more about network cybersecurity, and test electric bikes.
Recognising safety champions in the USA
In South Hackensack, in the USA, the team got the opportunity to meet the vendors who supply essential safety tools, equipment, and procedures, and therefore play a crucial role in ensuring that we maintain high safety standards in our operations.
Other activities and games were designed to test our employees’ knowledge and skills in safety protocols. This interactive approach not only reinforces learning but also fosters teamwork and camaraderie among staff. Raffle prizes were awarded to employees who visited every table or were recognised as our Ergo Hero for the month.
Critical role of EHS facilitators
On sites across the globe, our EHS facilitators played a vital role in bringing our culture to life. Acting as ambassadors within their teams, they encourage colleagues to adopt safe behaviours, share good practices, and participate actively in EHS Days and Weeks. Since 2021, 563 EHS facilitators have been trained or appointed.
Taken altogether, our EHS Days and Weeks show that we do not compromise on our goal to get ‘Everyone Home Safe Every Day’ and continue to drive initiatives that build safety into the foundations of our culture.
