In 2025, we introduced three new products to deliver sustainable solutions and support the growth of our customers.
High-precision beauty ingredient from the ocean’s depths
Evernityl™ is a marine active ingredient sourced from the macroalgae Laminaria hyperborea, which lives in the depths of Brittany’s ocean. Using an innovative upcycling process, our scientists produce Evernityl™ by transforming fresh algae into a high-precision beauty ingredient that combats skin ageing and promotes youthful skin.
The product builds on Givaudan Active Beauty’s earlier breakthrough work on Porphyr’ageing™, a concept that refers to the discovery that metabolites produced by the skin’s microbiota play a key role in the skin ageing process. These porphyrins influence several biological mechanisms linked to skin ageing, and Evernityl™ has emerged as the most effective ingredient to these effects, decelerating ageing and correcting both invisible and visible signs of time.
Evernityl™ works by inhibiting the production of porphyrins and enhancing their clearance, preventing further damage to the skin. It reduces the formation of spot precursors and visible spots to promote a more even skin tone and stimulates the synthesis of constituents of the extracellular matrix, enhancing the skin’s elasticity and firmness to prevent the formation of wrinkles.
A hyaluronic acid with evidenced pro-longevity benefits
PrimalHyal™ UltraReverse evidenced pro-longevity benefits by targeting four of the five primary hallmarks of ageing. This active ingredient has the unique ability to penetrate skin cells and act at the DNA level, effectively addressing most of the primary hallmarks of ageing. By tackling ageing at its root, PrimalHyal™ UltraReverse is set to redefine the ‘well-ageing’ experience.
PrimalHyal™ UltraReverse, the intracellular hyaluronic acid, targets four of the five primary biological pathways of ageing. In doing so, the product protects the skin not only from chronological ageing, but also from environmental stressors known as the exposome, helping to restore skin’s youthfulness.
This results in visibly younger, healthier skin, with an apparent age reduced by up to six years. It also corrects key signs of ageing such as wrinkles and sleep lines and improves skin firmness, as demonstrated on a diverse and international panel of volunteers. The product addresses growing consumer interest in prevention and in embracing a holistic approach to skin health. By offering solutions that preserve the skin’s health capital, Givaudan Active Beauty emphasises that true skincare is not just about appearance, but about longevity, prevention and wellbeing.
DandErase™ redefines dandruff care
We have also introduced DandErase™, a botanical active designed to eradicate dandruff and restore scalp health. This unique molecule is derived from the petals of Crocus sativus L., commonly known as saffron, which we sustainably source in Morocco.
Dandruff is a widespread scalp condition generally caused by an overgrowth of Malassezia, a yeast commonly found on the oiliest parts of human skin. Although naturally present in the skin microbiota, environmental factors can upset this balance, triggering the onset of dandruff and the accompanying oily yellow flakes, itching and, often, inflammation.
DandErase™ addresses both root causes and symptoms of dandruff by inhibiting the growth of Malassezia, reducing inflammation and scalp reddening, mitigating itching and scalp discomfort, restoring the barrier function of the skin and scalp and, finally, balancing the microbiome for long-lasting anti-dandruff effects. Clinical trials demonstrate that DandErase™ rivals leading anti-dandruff shampoos, achieving up to a 95% reduction in dandruff within three days for all participants. Because it selectively targets Malassezia and rebalances the scalp microbiome, its benefits last beyond treatment, with dandruff continuing to reduce even two weeks after application of the product.
