They seek new food and wellbeing experiences, want to eat healthier, and value products that deliver specific health benefits, such as nutraceuticals or functional beverages that support cognition, energy or gut health. At the same time, sustainability, quality, and affordability remain important, especially in markets where disposable income is under pressure.

In addition, we leverage proprietary technologies, advances in health, nutrition, functional solutions, and natural colours, along with our focused innovation ecosystem, to enable the healthy, multisensorial food experiences consumers are looking for. In 2025, our commitment to innovation continued to deliver results, with a number of breakthrough innovations.
From nutraceuticals to a natural blue
In health solutions, we introduced Zensera™, a patent-pending lemon balm extract that supports cognitive performance1 under stress2. Zensera™ is effective at a low 300mg dose, providing same-day health benefits in nutraceutical applications. With excellent solubility, light taste and colour, this clean-label ingredient is also suitable for select beverages.
We also added to our palette of natural colours, after receiving U.S. Food and Drug Administration approval for Everzure™ Galdieria, a natural blue colour made from the microalgae Galdieria sulphuraria. Developed in collaboration with French biotech company Fermentalg, we use patented processes to ferment and extract this novel blue colour. The result is a phycocyanin-rich vibrant blue with complete traceability and low pH stability that can be used in a wide range of applications, including beverages, gummies and hard candies.
Adding natural texture, mouthfeel and nutrition
In functional ingredients, we came to an agreement with Dole Speciality Ingredients to distribute a unique, upcycled Green Banana Powder. This clean-label texturiser is a natural, upcycled alternative to synthetic texturisers and serves as an effective replacement for gum, pectins and starches in applications like soup and sauces.
Green Banana Powder delivers powerful natural texture and viscosity, along with water and oil holding capacities that are comparable to modified starches. Packed with fruit content, it also adds fibre and nutritional appeal to products along with the desired texture and mouthfeel.
Harnessing AI and digital tools
To complement existing AI and digital tools, we introduced Myromi™, a patent-pending handheld aroma delivery device controlled by smartphone. The technology facilitates real-time engagement, allowing users to create new aroma profiles while collecting consumer feedback through a customised digital interface.
